VMESS
About VMESS
VMess is the original protocol of the V2Ray project and encrypts and authenticates every request with the user's UUID and a negotiated cipher. Endpoints are shared as vmess:// links whose body is base64-encoded JSON carrying address, port, UUID, alter ID and transport options. It runs over TCP, WebSocket, gRPC and HTTP/2, and WebSocket variants work behind CDNs. Alter IDs were part of its anti-replay design but are deprecated and set to zero on modern servers. The VMess guide decodes the share-link format in detail.

Frequently asked questions
What is VMess?
VMess is a proxy protocol from the Project V ecosystem. Records include a UUID, an encryption setting and transport options, and are usually shared as vmess:// base64 links.
Why do many VMess records share the same port?
Public sources often republish the same servers, and some providers host many records behind a single endpoint. Duplicated entries are merged where we can detect them.
Which clients import VMess links?
v2rayNG, v2rayN, Hiddify, Nekoray and Clash-based clients can import VMess links or load them from a subscription feed.
Freshness shows when a config was last seen in a public source — not whether it works.
