Copyright & removal
Última actualización: 2026-09-01
## Indexing and copyright
HiddenIO indexes publicly published configuration data and stores short factual extracts (protocol,
endpoint, transport parameters) together with attribution to the source. We do not host the original
documents, media or software of the sources we index.
## Removal process
If you believe material covered by your copyright appears in our index in a way you object to:
1. **Submit a report.** Use the [report form](/report) with type "copyright". Identify the exact
record (paste its URL or ID) and describe the underlying work.
2. **Contact us.** Alternatively, or in addition, email the contact address published on the
[security page](/security) from an address we can verify.
3. **Review.** We review valid requests promptly, typically within a few business days. Verified
requests result in the record being deactivated and, where appropriate, the whole source retired.
## Counter-notice and restoration
If a third party disputes a removal, we may restore records when presented with a reasonable
counter-claim; disputes between parties remain between the parties.
## Repeat sources
Sources that repeatedly generate verified copyright complaints are retired permanently.
Please note: configuration strings published openly on the public internet are factual, functional
data; we exercise removal liberally regardless, because being a good citizen costs less than being
right.
