Privacy policy

## Principle HiddenIO is designed to need as little personal data as possible. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts. The interactive tools under **/tools run entirely in your browser** — nothing you paste there is ever transmitted to us. ## What we store - **Server logs.** Standard web-server and API logs (IP address, timestamp, requested path, status) kept briefly for abuse prevention and rate limiting, then discarded or anonymized. - **Search aggregates.** Search queries are stored only in aggregated, anonymized counters used for the [trending](/trending) page. They are not linked to an identity. - **Account data** (only if you register): email address, username, hashed password, role, your API keys and personal feed definitions. We store no profile information beyond that. ## Cookies We set only three kinds of cookies, all first-party and functional: - **Session cookies** — authentication for account/admin features (set only when you log in). - **Language cookie** — remembers your interface language. - **Theme cookie** — remembers light/dark preference. There are no advertising, analytics or social-media cookies. ## Sharing We do not sell or share personal data with third parties. Data may be disclosed only when legally required. ## Retention & contact Account data is kept until you ask for deletion; logs age out automatically.
